The first beverage made from the coffee tree was coffee
leaf tea. Called kuti, it was
drunk in Ethiopia, centuries
before coffee bean
roasting was invented.
Laboratory testing has been
performed on Coffeetea.
Caffeine
analysis has shown Coffeetea to have
less caffeine than green tea (.06% VS. 2.0%).
Antioxidant testing has shown Coffeetea to have
the same high level (>6,500 ORAC units)
of
antioxidants as green tea. These natural
antioxidants help protect the body from
premature
aging and disease.
Taste tests have shown that, among those
trying Coffeetea and green tea for the first
time, 75% prefer Coffeetea.
